Mahesh is Replaced by Raviteja for Rudrama Devi

 

Director Guna Shekar period magna opus Rudrama Devi starring Anushka in the title role while Rana and host of top actors are part of this big-budget film. The film has Ilayaraja scoring the music while Thota Tharani is taking care of sets. Huge sets have been erected for the film in outskirts of Hyderabad. Presently the film shooting is progressing.

Meanwhile Guna Shekar was keen get in Mahesh Babu to don the role of an important character – Gona Ganna Reddy. Despite hero have regards for the director, he has avoided to be in the film for two reasons that it is a small character and secondly because the film is lady oriented one. But it is said Guna Shekar was in no mood to give up till last minute. With the schedules of shooting the film coming to fag end only this character’s portions pending, the director seems to be looking for alternatives.
It is believed that hero Raviteja has envisaged interested in featuring in the role and in all probabilities Raviteja will be part of the project. Even Guna Shekar seems to be happy that he has got another hero to do the role. Initially Raviteja has worked with Guna Shakar has his assistant director and recently they worked together for the film Nippu which went on to be the biggest flops of Raviteja.
